Katrina

Hurricane Katrina. A very sad story. Made even worse by the lack of federal response. Made yet worse by the thought that class and racism might have to do with the lack of help. Made the worst because it was actually preventable. Who builds a city in hurricane central below sea level? I'm shocked at many things but none more so than why this didn't happen a long time ago. I don't know who's fault all this is but the government comes to mind. After the lack of common sense of course.
Sooner than you think, a similar, preventable event will occur in California when supposedly everything west of the San Andreas fault will disappear into the Pacific. And they keep packin' 'em in there like cows into the slaughter house.
Ok, perhaps that's an exaggeration but one thing's for certain: Many will die. More will suffer. And most of them will be the poor.

Well, yeah, the post could coulda been longer in length but I didn't want to rehash things from CNN, I just wanted to share my thoughts. Which weren't all that deep or plenty.

Ok, I know I'll regret asking this, but what's 'GB'?

You mean GWB. George W. Bush.
Anyway, Oprah covered the Hurricane aftermath pretty well. It was quite a scene I have to say.
